Is Erich Gonzales the next Judy Ann Santos?

After nearly 5 years of waiting for her turn, young Kapamilya actress Erich Gonzales got her first break in the primetime coming-of-age teleserye Katorse. The teleserye consistently topped the 6pm timeslot, both in Mega Manila and in the nationwide survey, making Erich Gonzales the breakthrough actress of 2009.

Katorse is already on its last week, but ABS-CBN decided to immediately give Erich a follow-up teleserye Tanging Yaman, which the actress is still the lead with the inclusion of Melissa Ricks. Tanging Yaman will premiere immediately the next week.
