Ashley Tisdale, perhaps best known for her role as Sharpay in High School Musical and also rather well-known for her role as Maddie in The Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, has signed on to star in a support role in Hellcats, a pilot for the CW network. The role would mark the always-working Tisdale's first on a regular broadcast series.The series' protagonist is Marti, a college girl from the wrong side of the tracks who loses a scholarship, due to budget cuts and her mother's irresponsible actions.
