About the allegations Rose said:
“That didn’t bother me at all. I didn’t do anything wrong, so it was up to Memphis what they had to do. Coach [John Calipari] told me not to worry about it. I definitely wasn’t worrying about it.”
Rose said,
“That’s the last thing we’d talk about,”
He added,
“We’d probably talk about that for two or five minutes. Other than that, he’d always tell me how good some of his players, talk about the offseason and talk about how my family’s doing. The last thing we’d talk about is something negative.”
About his past, Rose said,
“It’s been tough, but I have to know that it was in the past being foolish,”
He also said,
“But you have to look forward and I’m looking to the future, trying to get my jump shot right. That’s all I’ve been thinking about.”
When he was asked that what lesson has he got from this, Rose replied:
“I’m not a kid anymore. I’m always in the spotlight. I’m probably the leader of the team, gotta be the leader of the team, and I can’t do foolish things anymore. It’s tough, but I’m still learning. I know that when I go out in public, I can’t really act the way I want to act with my friends, kid around with them. It’s like I have to grow up. I’m only 20.”
