A 27 year old David Blaine is a famous American magician. He is best known for his street and close-up magic. David Blaine's first TV special came in 1997 and was called David Blaine: Street Magic aired on the ABC network. He is shown his magic by traveling across the country, in Atlantic City, San Francisco, New York City and Dallas.

Street magic has been made popular by media magicians such as David Blaine and Criss Angel, who have developed their own exclusive styles and bring a modern approach to some classic magic tricks as well as bringing some refreshing new ideas for street magic tricks. He performed street magic for people in New Orleans' Ninth Ward, inner-city East St. Louis and coal miners in West Virginia's Mingo County.

Blaine creates the amazing miracles with playing cards, dollar bills, coins and watches are accomplished with simple sleight of hand that has been refined over the years. He was once encased in a huge block of ice in Times Square, New York for 63 hours, 42 minutes and 15 seconds for the stunt name “Frozen in Time.” But people remember him as the simple, elegant, completely mind-blowing street magic from his first special show, "David Blaine: Street Magic."

David Blaine is creating a new summer special show called, ELLEN’S BIGGER LONGER & WIDER. The show will be aired on June 27 at 9 p.m.

• A woman's watch was stolen by David and then appeared in a jewelry store window. David Blaine then put his hand through the glass and grabbed the watch.
• A young boy's fear of snakes was overcome when David ate a small snake and had the snake reappear in the boy's backpack.
