Beyonce's pregnancy gets record breaking Tweets

Pop diva Beyonce’s pregnancy news has not just grabbed the headlines Sunday; it set a new record for Tweets. On August 28, at the MTV Video Music Award’s (VMA’s), Beyonce shocked her fans with the announcement that she is expecting her first baby with husband Jay-Z. After then, the news spread through all social media. Following the announcement by Beyonce on live TV, the social network Twitter had set a new record of tweets per second by breaking all previous twitter record per second. Beyonce’s pregnancy news has received 8,868 tweets per second (TPS); the most TPS that ever recorded for a sole event.

At the award show, Beyonce cleared up any doubt. Before the performance on new song, "Love on Top", she told the audience "I want you to feel the love that growing inside of me." As she finished her performance, she opened her jacket which exposed her five-month baby bump. This will be the first child of the pop diva Beyonce and her husband, Jay-Z. Previously, 7,196 tweets per second was recorded at the final whistle of Japan's thrilling upset win over the U.S. in July in the FIFA women's World Cup final.
