American Idol star trapped in Chile

Today Elliott Yamin made a pleading request to help him get out of Chile following last week's 8.8 magnitude earthquake. Yamin lives from Type 1 diabetes and is running out of supplies for his pump. Yamin has tried to get a hold of the United States Embassy but calls are just going to voicemail and that is full. Yamin was able to reach Pop Tarts via his cell phone saying, "I don’t know how long we’re going to be here.
