Ron Mueck is a London-based hyperrealist sculptor, who was born in Melbourne city of Australia in the year 1958. He had started his career as a model maker and puppeteer for children's film and television. However, he always wanted to portray the world in a super realistic way. Subsequently, Mueck started to make 'lifelike' sculptures which looked perfect from all angles. He reproduces every minute details of the human body in his sculptures very precisely. Mueck’s sculptures, made from fiberglass and silicone material, are always either oversized or undersized than the real life scale. His work has been featured in famous art galleries all over the world.
Ron Mueck’s work has also earned a title of “Controversial” as he has created some bold sculptures that are nude. The work which made him one of the world famous sculptors was of dead dad, which displays a man lying on the floor naked and its size is only two-third of the real size. Then he continued to get recognition for his works, which included various sculptures ranging from smaller to much larger size naked figures with various emotions. Moreover, Mueck has created amazing and innovative sculptures which explores the full human life cycle i.e. about birth, youth, procreation middle age, old age and death.
