'quercus' A tree water barrel

It’s not what you’re thinking; the tree is no more alive! Part of Weyers & Borms recent project, the ‘quercus’ water barrel was on show in ‘je suis dada’ at the design Flanders gallery, in Brussels. This tree water barrel is made from a 150 year old dead oak tree. The designers first made a mold and then applied polyester/fiberglass cast to give it a real look.
