One of the World's Smallest frogThe smallest frog in the world is the Monte Iberia Eleuth; a frog only recently discovered on a mountain in Cuba. Specimens have been found that are only 8.5 millimeters long! It is considered Critically Endangered by the IUCN and is found in only 2 small areas on Cuba. Since this frog was only discovered in 1996, and only females have been found, very little is known about this sweet little frog. This frog found in the cold mountains in the glorious victory at the height of 1000km. This well-dwarf frogs to avoid enemy attack. Equally small is the smallest frog in the Northern Hemisphere, only recently discovered (1996) in Monte Iberia, Cuba. It doesn't have a common name yet, but its scientific name is Eleutherodactylus iberia. |
