In India a small sect of people less than 100 called Aghori Sadhu. In this Modern age itself very much disturbing to here b'coz Aghori still practice eating meat rotten dead and meditating on human corpse.
This is the real fact and Aghoris are Lord Shiva worshipers. They follow a principle called "I am god" and they think themselves as children of lord Shiva. According to them everything is created from "Brahman". And they eating human dead bodies and crops.
For them everything and nothing is Sacred. Agoris are harmless b'coz they won't eat and attack human.Important thing about them they take weeds.Aghoris are like to do Yoga because it gives strength and energy to their mind and body. Some say that Agoris pray and live for lord Shiva.

Life is what you make it. You did not grow up in the same culture or life as these people and I am sure you do things that I or someone else would consider just as gross or gruesome. Accept their beliefs and move on.
If believing in a god, a third face in fact, gives them a sense of being, then let them have their glimmer of hope; It is more hope than us who accept the brutality of science and life can ever dream of having.

Amazing, that even to this day, there are people in midst of civilized society that are oblivious and practice customs and rituals that are barbaric and just plain gruesome. There is belief and then there is blind belief which leads men astray.
