Located in Utrecht, Netherlands, is a 300 square-meter wind responsive office façade. Dutch architects Cepezed, in collaboration with Ned Kahn Studios, have designed this façade for their office building. It’s a stainless steel kinda mesh that holds thin transparent plastic disks, vibrating and moving as the wind blows. As the wind blows, the disks moves and catch the color of the sky creating ‘luminous waves which glide along the façade in the form of a vertical canal’.
