Akon Thinks The Old Christina Aguilera Is Better Than The New One

Akon wishes pop singer Christina Aguilera would go back to basics. The r&b star, who helped launch the career of megastar Lady GaGa, said in an interview with Vibe.com that Xtina “switched up” her sound as soon as GaGa hit the scene in an effort to compete.

“Christina stepped out of her own shell to become something different,” the star said adding that the change in direction was uncalled for because “Christina is really talented.”

“I think sometimes she gets insecure because of all of the success Gaga has had not realizing that she was already successful before Gaga came out.”
