For the new upcoming series from David E. Kelley, little known actress Adrianne Palicki has been picked to play the title role of "Wonder Woman". Palicki, 27, is best known for her role in the now-defunct “Friday Night Lights” as a resident bad girl Tyra Collette. According to the Hollywood reporter, Palicki has been casted to play Diana Prince, the most coveted role of Hollywood. In the “Wonder Woman” show, Diana Prince is a woman who is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles. However, she is also a modern woman who is trying to balance her superhero work and “normal” work as a successful corporate executive of Themyscira Industries. The executive producers of the series are Kelley and Bill D'Elia. Jeffrey Reiner (NBC's "The Event") will serve as the director of the series. New upcoming series "Wonder Woman" is from Warner Bros. Television and David E. Kelley Productions. It is expected that the series "Wonder Woman" will be premiered on NBC in any event. Previously, the DC Comics super-heroine Lynda Carter played the tiara as Wonder Woman on a TV series that aired from 1975 to 1979. Apart from Friday Night Lights, Palicki has also starred in the horror/action film “Legion”. She was also seen on the small screen in the Fox's extremely short-lived show “Lone Star” and the WB's “Supernatural”. She will also be appeared in the upcoming series “Red Dawn”. |
