Singapore country contains many religions such as Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and Hinduism. These all religions co-exist in concord with each other. Secular nature of Singapore is reflected by official holidays because most of the holidays are on spiritual festivals. The government associations and banks in Singapore are closed for public during the official holidays.

2012 Public Holiday in Singapore

The list of the official dates for 2012 public holidays of Singapore has been released by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower. On the basis of official holiday calendar from Ministry of Manpower or MoM, the Singapore public holiday dates in 2012 are decided. 2012 public holidays of Singapore includes all days of occasions, festivals and national holidays when the schools, universities and personal as well as public sector offices will remain closed.

Most of the Singapore 2012 Public Holidays will be different from the holidays of 2011. If the holidays fall on Sunday in 2012 such as New Year’s Day, Hari Raya Puasa, and Buddhist Vesak Day, the successive Monday will be a public holiday in Singapore.
