Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai invites applications for the recruitment of meritorious Sportspersons in different games/ sports :

Inspector of Income Tax : Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 grade pay Rs.4600, Qualification : Graduation in any discipline, Age : 18-27 years

Tax Assistant : Pay Scale : Rs.5200–20200 grade pay Rs. 2400, Qualification : Graduate in any discipline (ii) Should possess data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer., Age : 18-27 years

Peon : Pay Scale : Rs.5200 – 20200 grade pay Rs.1800, Qualification : Matriculation or equivalent qualification, Age : 18-25 years

Games/ Sports :Cricket (Men only/ Hockey (Men Only)/ Volleyball (Men only/ Football (Men only)/ Basketball (Men only)/ Athletics (both Men and Women)

Age limit:
Inspector of Income-tax and Tax Assistant Posts : 18 to 27 years and 18 to 32 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 18 to 30 years in case of OBC candidates as on 01.03.2010. The Upper age limit is relaxable up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in case of SC/ST) in the case of
sportspersons with exceptional achievements and who satisfy all other eligibility conditions and who furnish the necessary certificates;
