About EXTENDED MERIT LIST (EML)

Extended Merit List (EML) is for admissions to Central Govt. Institutions IISERs, IIST, IIMS and RGIPT. This list is not for admissions to IITs, ISMU and IT-BHU.
Extended merit list does not contain any candidate who appears in the merit lists (common merit list, OBC/Sc/ST/PD/Preparatory merit lists) of JEE-2009.
For JEE-2009, the lengths of the Extended Merit Lists are six times the lengths of the corresponding JEE Merit Lists.
