Glenn has always said put God first. Try watching all his programs. Most people do not check out their "religion", try going by the one true WORD of God. Mormons I have known, go by works, only the higher ups do weird richuals, & worship of Satan as Jesus's bro. & he will win. I don't believe Glenn knows about it. Yes, I can believe that you read "gay liberal pagan" and your mind refused to accept that the groups of letters that followed represented actual words or that those words came together to form not only coherent but debatable ideas.

I reread my post nearly 4 weeks after I made it and didnt see anything in there that should be confusing. I starting out stating I agreed witht the priciples as they are laid out. I dont agree, however, with the actions, statements, and philosophies supposedly concocted from these priciples by people like Glen Beck, and most people who claim to either be conservative or Republican. I stated that I tried to assuage the the fears of some of my peers when Bush was elected, and that I gave him a chance even though I didnt agree with everything he did. This is something I dont think the conservative party in the US is doing for Obama. If liberals were traitors what the heck are so called conservatives that call for things like succession, the buying up of firearms, armed revolt, or simply stating "we are at war, we need to take this country back by any means necessary"? I have litteraly heard a certain republican legistlator say "We need to become insurgents, like Al Qaeda"!? This all segues nicely into "Like it or not this has always been a diverse country. If you dont like who is in power, vote. If the person you liked didnt get elected, have the courage and humilty to give someone else a chance to runs things for a while."

If you made it past the 1st sentence, perhaps it was in this later part you had a disconnect? Did you get so wrapped up into this "us vs them" mentality that you cant conceed that people who dont vote the same way you do love this country too and want great things for it and it's people? Beyond what I have tried to clarify, I hope you have the mental capacity for what seems common sense to me. Or you are in an institution that keeps you from harming yourself and others. Not only a common sense understanding of what is happening now, but what has played out over 232 years of our country's history. There are elections, and some people lose and some people win. We had a civil war over who had the ultimate say- states or the federal government. If this great nation was ever in danger of ceasing to exist it was then. Today's events, elections, political climate, whatever means you want to measure it by... seem pale in comparison.

All I ask is for anyone considering sucession, armed revolt, or just plain "doing whatever it takes to take back this country", to keep things in perspective, use a little bit of common sense, relax and take a deap breath. Have faith that things are going to be ok, because even your Bible tries to tell you that when the world ends, things are going to be ok. Try that before you go and mess up the favorite country of this gay liberal pagan.

I am a gay liberal pagan and I agree with Glen Becks 9 principles and 11 values. EACH AND EVERY ONE! Especially "4. The Family is sacred. My Spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the Government." I also believe in God and Jesus (the 3 wise men whoe were pagan brought gifts to honor Jesus).

What I dont believe in is praying on other people's fear and frustration especially to further ones career or political agenda. I know I am the voice of reason and therefore few people will listen to me. But, I remember clearly a little over 8 years ago trying to calm the fears of people on the left side of the isle that said that "the bush years are going to be like living in Nazi Germany". Even 8 years later I contend that it wasnt that bad. I gave Bush a chance. On some issues I believe he made grave mistakes. On others I liked his ideas and handling of the situation.

I would like to point out for instance that we could already have had a CLOSED border for several years if REPUBLICANS had backed Bush's illegal immigration plan. Why did that plan fail? Because, selfish people did not have the compassion to give 40 mil people the chance to live in this great country and obtain low end jobs. Jobs the majority of Americans think are reserved for people that are too stupid and/or lazy. Did I just offend you? Really? Picture in your own mind someone that works in landscaping, housecleaning, janitors, fast food, busboys, and dishwashing. Do you respect these people? Do you think they've achieved the best that they can? Would you be happy if your son or daughter never worked a job that paid more or was more prestigious than the ones I mentioned?

Like it or not America is and HAS ALWAYS been a diverse country. If you dont like who is in power, vote. If the person you liked didnt get elected, have the courage and humilty to GIVE SOMEONE ELSE a chance to run things for a while. If you cant handle how the political process is handled in this country I suggest you move somewhere where they have a nice conservative dictator. Iran perhaps? They are VERY religious over there and have strict laws concerning gays, drinking, sex, and women's rights. This country will only work if we work together even if we dont agree 100%. I hope some of you read what I have to say and take a moment to digest it. I came year to learn about what I thought was an opposing veiwpoint only to find that it is not so far off from my own. Perhaps you can do the same.

We Need to pull the plug on all the trips the politicians take to other countries giving away billions of our tax dollars and have them spit on us the moment our backs are turned.
Also, we need to trash the weasels at the United Nations and stop them from passing internatioal laws that are detrimental to our constitutional republic.

Okay I want this to happen because frankly I am scared to death of the future as it's going.
I see one of two options. Either we wait to vote the skunks out or we a rm ourselves and storm their evil dens and root them out.
If we do option A, then it will be too late.
If we proceed with option B, then they will turn our military on us to "control civil unrest."
I don't know about you but my shotgun isn't a match for machineguns and tanks.

In the same week that I listened to Glenn Beck appeal to Americans to reexamine their country's greatness, my wife, Maria, started reading to me from "Mount Vernon: The Story of a Shrine."

Interestingly, the story of the establishment of Mount Vernon, as chronicled by authors Gerald W. Johnson and Charles Cecil Wall, and Beck's call to monumentalize the principles and values that created and have sustained America, had much in common.

Just as a letter from a mother, despairing of the neglect and disrepair that had befallen the estate of President Washington, inspired the first public epistolary appeal by daughter Ann Pamela Cunningham, a call on Glenn Beck's radio talk show from a distraught citizen complaining of an irresponsible and unresponsive government, caused the host to issue a public appeal. The former gave birth to the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association of the Union; the latter to The 912 Project.

In 1853, when Cunningham made her appeal and started the "agitation" that resulted in the salvation of Mount Vernon, "the men comprising the Congress of the United States and the Legislature of Virginia ... were careless of the great past."

The patriotic force that brought the country together under George Washington was now bifurcated.

The situation today is not very different. After the Sept. 11 attacks, Americans set aside their personal and political differences and came together in extraordinary fashion to celebrate and pay homage to their country's greatness. American flags were ubiquitous, and American pride reached its zenith.

Sadly, that feeling of singularity and camaraderie have given way to toxic divisiveness.

Glenn Beck's "The 912 Project" asks us to reflect on the principles and values that have made America great. It is also an encouragement to embrace the unified force field that swept America on Sept. 12, 2001.

We cannot afford to be careless of our great past. As authors Johnson and Wall remind us, "What America is determines what America does."

Any project that aims high depends on the support of communities for its success. Also needed are "intangibles, things of the spirit."

After Cunningham's appeal, many people from different parts of the country made Mount Vernon their cynosure. Among them was New Englander Edward Everett, who popularized it with his celebrated and money-drawing oratorical skills, and New Yorker Sarah C. Tracy, who defended and nurtured it during the difficult years of the Civil War.

The 912 Project, likewise, will require the talents of many people for its fruition.

It is incontrovertible that America is a great nation. So is the statement that the future greatness of this land rests on the shoulders of its youth.

The journey forward to new vistas will require a thorough understanding of and appreciation for the early chapters of America's history that are not bent by the prisms of political correctness, partisan politics, or putative progress. By a process of study and intellectual inquiry, children should be asked to explore the grand ideas that make America unique.

Toward that purpose, I would like to sponsor a first meeting of El Paso's 912 project aimed at our city's youth. I trust that benevolence and providence will join hands to determine when and where the enterprise will take root.

I stopped working last year (2008),because my husband took an assignment in Australia. Obama's Tax cut is ridiculous almost half of the pay check of the American people goes to obama's tax cut.

I so hope that this movement can catch hold and move Americans back to 9/12/01. My daughter lived in New York on 9/11 and had worked in the twin towers and could have been working that morning. On 9/2 she was a few blocks away and that person working at her station (the 8-4 time period) saw the planes hit the towers. I really thought that America would turn back to our principles and the moral values that led our country for so long.

It has taken me two days to get to this site and I persevered because I want to be part of this movement.

Values: Honesty, Reverence, Hope, Thrift, Humility, Charity, Sincerity, Moderation, Hard Work.

Of course Christians must uphold eternal virtues and verities, not temporal and negotiable values. Sincerity, Moderation, Hard Work, Hope, Thrift, and Reverence are virtue-neutral. Muslims sincerely revere The Pedophile Mohammad. Jihadis hope to slit your throat. Hitler greatly valued hard work: Arbeit Macht Frei.

“Conservative” Glenn Beck is establishing a traditionalist movement based on Americanist principles and values, that places America above God. As a Mormon, Beck can put America above God since for Mormons worshipping America is worshipping the Earthly expression of God, but it’s strange that so many non-Mormons would support Beck's idolatry.
