The UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) examination is one of the most popular entrance exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) for the recruitment of Teachers in the Uttar Pradesh state. Every year, around 6 to 7 lakh individuals who want to be a teacher apply for this exam. The candidates can access the result of the UPTET examination via official portal of UPTET, www.upbasiceducationboard.in.
The UPTET examination is conducted for the selection of the teacher for Class I to VII. There are two main categories in the examination such as Category 1: lower primary teacher (Class 1st to 5th) and Category 2: upper primary teacher (Class 6th to 8th). The results are declared within 2 months from the date of exam. The UPBEB determines the cut off marks and prepares the merit list of UPTET.
The candidates who got selected in the examination will be listed in the Merit list. The Merit list is placed on www.upbasiceducationboard.in in PDF Format. Candidates who score more than 60% of marks will get a certificate valid for 7 years. The UPTET examination fee is around Rs. 300 for General & OBC Category and Rs. 150 for SC/ST Category. Physically challenged candidates can apply for this exam without any charge.
