E-education contest, E-education contest in Azerbaijan

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Education has announced today the beginning of All-Republic Contest ‘E-Education”. Samir Mammadov, the head of the MoE Department of Education System Computerization, said that 2010 was announced the Year of Information & Communications Technologies in Education and the competition is one of the events within the framework of this year.

“The competition will be conducted on two directions: “Internet technologies in education” and “E-educational resources in modern school”. The major goal of the contest is to make it popular use of electronic educational resources, reveal new forms of Internet use for educational reasons, encourage teachers using actively technologies in education process,” Mammadov said.

Projects of Internet resources and blogs can be submitted for participation. “I want to point out that the contest will be allowed only projects relating to use of ICT in education. For example, an association of teachers can create its own blog. Acceptance of documents will last until 21 May,” he said.
