Do you want to register your child for Primary ONE this year? Keep hurry! The registration of children for admission to Primary One classes in 2012 has been already started from June 29 and is still ongoing. The phase 1 and phase 2A of the registration for a Primary One place in a mainstream school in 2012 has been completed. During the registration period, all primary schools will be opened from Mondays - Fridays from 8.00 am to 11.00 am and from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm for the registration purpose. Only children born between January 2, 2005 and January 1, 2006 are eligible for registration. The Ministry of Education (MOE) said that for 2012, the cohort size is similar to that for 2011. On a regional and nationwide basis, sufficient school places will be available for all eligible Primary One students. Current year, MOE has piloted a new Primary One Internet System (P1-IS) for eight Primary Schools and this will be only for the Phase 2C and 2C Supplementary. These eight schools include Anchor Green Primary School, Canberra Primary School, Beacon Primary School, Edgefield Primary School, Mee Toh School, Endeavour Primary School, North Vista Primary School and Nan Chiau Primary School. Parents who do not desire to do an online registration can personally register for their children at these eight pilot primary schools.
