AP European History Practice Test based for your knowledge of European history and gets some college credit in the process -- with the AP European History Exam. The AP Course and Exam in European History are intended for qualified students who wish finish classes in secondary School equivalent to college introductory courses in European history.

The Exam Presumes at least one Academic year of college level preparation, a description of which is set forth in this book. The material has been selected by historians who serve as members of the AP European History development Committee.

AP European History Practice Test is divided into three parts

• Multiple Choice Section dealing with Concepts, major historical facts and personalities, and historical analysis
• And two thematic essays on topics of major significance.

The Test is based of 6o multiple choice Questions which is equally to those you will discover on the actual AP exam on test day. The 3 hours and five minutes exam includes 55-minute multiple-choice section and a 130-minute free-response section.

Part I: Multiple-Choice

80 multiple-choice questions cover European history from the High Renaissance to the present day. About half of the questions cover the period from 1450 to the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic era, with the other half covers the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars to the present time. Although many questions will require you to be familiar with more than a chronological period or theme, mostly covered breakdown is:

• The cultural and intellectual Topics - about one–third
• The political and diplomatic Topics - about one–third
• The social and economic Topics - about one–third

Other Multiple Choice tests, random guessing can damage your final score. Even if you do not lose anything for leaving a question blank, one quarter of a point deducted for each wrong answer to the test. But if you have some knowledge of the person, and can remove one or more answers, it is usually to your advantage to choose what you think is the best answer from the remaining options.

Part II: Free-Response

There are three free-response questions. The Sections Stars with Compulsory 15-minute reading period. Using the time to read the period to analyze documents for document-based question (dbq) and assessment of the thematic essay questions. So you have 45 minutes to answer DBQ and 70 minutes to answer two thematic essay questions. The dbq essay is worth 45 percent of the free response scores the two thematic essays together contribute 55 percent of free-response scores.

Some essay questions will require you to organize your answer in chronological order (e.g. for years, centuries, half centuries, events or movements), while others will ask you to make comparisons across the centuries. The time that is specified in an essay question will depend on the current topic. It is important that you are aware of the time. The final grade will partly depend on the accuracy of the essays' chronological coverage.

Scoring the Exam

The multiple-choice and free-response sections are each worth half of the final exam grade.
