Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy begins his Odarpu Yatra in Warangal

Defying high command’s directive, Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday left for his ‘Odarpu Yatra’ in Warangal district in Telangana to console the families of those who allegedly committed suicide following the death of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Jagan left for Mahabubabad in Warangal district, from where he will kick-off his six-day ‘yatra’, by Hyderabad-Guntur Inter-City Express from the Secunderabad railway station here about 0800 hours.

He will meet 77 families in 72 villages in the Warangal during his tour and also unveil the statues of his late father at about 40 places, sources said.

Jagan has gone ahead with his ‘yatra’ despite a directive by the Congress high command which asked him not to undertake the tour in view of the surcharged atmosphere in the region.
