That was the end of Lost? Are you kidding us?

Fans who tuned into "Lost" series finale, hoping to get all their questions answered may have been disappointed. Those who hoped for a credible explanation for the alternate reality dilemma ... Well, for those disappointed not even cover it. But if, on the off chance someone Pineda for a partially satisfactory, partly annoying end twisting mystery Sunday's episode was a winner.

It began as the last term ended with a newly Jacob'ed Jack's in the River. Although he does not feel different, he seemed to know exactly what he needed to do. So he called his troops - Sawyer, Hurley and Kate - in action. Sawyer went in search of Desmond, while Kate and Hurley followed Jack to the heart of the island.

Sawyer quest ended before it even began. Instead of finding everyone's favorite electro-magnetic resistance comrade, he found Smokey and Ben ruing their corresponding level of an empty well. Sawyer hightailed it back to Jack to guess the new Smokey destroy-the-island Desmond support platform and left the Smokey and Ben continue their quest.

As for Desmond, he enjoyed the company of his rescuers, men - wait for it - Rose, Bernard, perhaps the most wanted castaway of all, Vincent the dog! OK, sure, felt like a long lost trio were somehow shoehorned in the scene as a last greeting, but it is Rose, Bernard and Vincent, so who cares?

As if to explain his complete lack of all things related plot, Rose announced that she and Desmond Bernard broke their rule to rescue him. The rule is mostly to stay out of everyone else's drama. And if they thought they broke it by helping Desmond, threatened arrival Smokey to show them how damaged it may have.

It was not long before Smokey threatened to kill the old familiar faces, if Desmond did not follow him to the heat source. Naturally obeyed Des.

Soon met Jack and his gang back together with Sawyer up with Smokey, Ben and Desmond. Although an epic battle seemed the logical choice of action, had Jack not see the need for it. Instead, he and Smokey Des a trip to the heart of the island.

It looks like Smokey's plan to destroy the island meshed quite nicely with Jack's plan to destroy Smokey, so they decided to cooperate instead of helping Desmond into the light in the cave.

Once there, Desmond somehow knew how to pull a cork out of the stone a sparkling swimming pool, which showed the important light and triggered a load of earthquakes.

The result left a Smokey smugly believed he was the winner. That left Jack think it would be a good time to attack Smokey.
