Volusia County's ozone pollution rank improved

Volusia County's air gets clean and clean day by day. The ranking of Volusia County's ozone pollution is improved today.

Volusia County's air gets a 'B'. It turns out there might be an upside to fewer tourists and residents: Volusia County's ozone pollution -- the kind caused by cars, buses, trucks and motorized boats -- decreased in the past year.

That improved the county's ozone score from a C to a B in the American Lung Association's annual State of the Air report.
Eleven counties received failing grades for the level of ozone pollution in the report.
