Tarak Bajpai, chief operating officer of Speak Asia has been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai police. He was arrested on late Thursday night in connection with a forgery case from the Vijay Nagar police station area, City Superintendent of Police Amarinder Singh said. Speak Asia is being investigated for a multi-level marketing fraud with many FIRs and PILs having been filed against it. Mumbai police said large sums of money were transferred out of India, with Speak Asia collecting about Rs 1,320 crore by fraudulent means. |
