It seems like every time Obama opens his mouth, the stock market falls to another record low. Boy oh Boy, why is he talking in such negative terms? Instead of being positive and telling the American people some good news for a change? WOW!!:-)

I'm not certain if the GOP actually assumed all of America really IS as stupid as they hoped we are or if THEY really assumed we'd EVER elect that low class poor excuse for an "intelligent woman". Between her sleezy daughter and the "mother-in-law to be" arrested for drugs ( which Palin tried to put off until "after the election"), makes me sick, about as sick as I'd be if that low class family, or that woman got elected. I'm not sure if the people of Alaska are "that ignorant", or if they really didn't know what this woman was about. From her irresponsible family "values" (none) to her lies about "Trooper Gate",to her desire to add the words "if you will" at odd times in almost every sentence, (what's with that?), and her bold faced lies,( "I'm qualified because I can see Russia from my house") I shutter at the thought of her ever being a world leader. Since the people of America 80% disagreed with her and voted for Obama, then this accounts for the still 20% approval rating this country has for Bush in spite of what he did to us. I assume that same 20% are the scary ones who voted for Palin and Bush and did this to our country by electing Bush and then tried to compound it by trying to elect Palin. I must say, it's been a very long time since any woman made me feel like she shamed my gender, but Palin did in her "act" as an "intelligent" (choke) "qualified woman" neither of which decribes Palin. Let's thank our stars America is NOT as dumbed down as the media and the GOP had hoped. It gives me hope that a full 80% of us knew better and elected Obama. Americans need a review of the political history of our country. The young people today aren't educated without liberal influences, not knowing the truth about Carter, Obamas own image of Lincoln is over emphasized. Washington, Lincoln and Reagan were real leaders. Reading "REAGAN'S WAR" would be an excellent tool in educating both young and old. Reagan fought communism for forty years starting in Hollywood and so well read in foreign policy, having studied it for years. Palin is underestimated as for her knowledge, she simply needs to be her own person, become more familiar with foreign history; as I rate her with Margaret Thacher and the likes of Golda Meir.

You're correct when you say that we have SOME stupid people in the U.S. (most of them voted, through ignorance, for Barak Obama). Also, you're correct when you say that our spelling is off. I personally think it was a mistake to change many english words by altering their spelling. EX: colour changed to color, honour changed to honor, practise changed to practice, etc. I think the American spelling is phoenetically acceptable but I just don't see the purpose of making changes to a classical language. However, I disagree with your apparent conclusion that all Yanks are stupid or ungrateful. For instance, when catastrophes occur anywhere in the world, Americans are quick to respond with money and/or help. It isn't to buy friendship or favor; it's just because it's the right thing to do. If it were to buy friendship, it would have ceased ages ago; I think history will bear that out. I'm proud of my country and its people because it's a country in which MOST people do the right things when they're required to do so. I think the same can be said of the people of most democratic countries. So, if you judge all Americans because of the stupidity or actions of some of them, I WILL NOT make the same generalization by saying the same thing about all canadians. I think the people of Canada, the U.S., Britain and the rest of the European countries and all freedom-loving countries would do well to remember how we all pulled together during the dark days of Word War II because we all had in common the desire for peace and freedom.

Before the election, many people learned very disturbing things about Obamas character. His choice of radical ociates never seemed to include anyone other than the very extreme. I began to form a very disturbing opinion of this man. America could never vote for a man that had such a socialist view, could they? Then I watched his speach regarding the civillian army that he wanted to put forth. OMG, Gestapo! Well, I just hope that the uninformed realize someday while their homes are being invaded and possesions are being removed that the Army feels does not represent who and what Obama stands for what they have done to America. No matter who people voted for, the media should have given an unbiased report of both candidates. They have definitely practiced "yellow journalism" throughout the entire election.
