In a podcast recorded to mark the beginning of 2011, Mr Cameron says the risk terrorists pose to the country's national security 'is as serious today as it ever has been'. He praises the police authorities and security services for 'working around the clock' to foil terrorist plots, but warned that ordinary Brits also have a part to play. 'Together we will defend our values and way of life and defeat those who threaten them,' he adds. Mr Cameron also speaks on the subject of fundamentalism, saying: 'We must ask ourselves as a country how we are allowing the radicalisation and poisoning of the minds of some young British Muslims who then contemplate and sometimes carry out acts of sickening barbarity.' |
