Santo Domingo amanece with unusual police patrol
SANTO DOMINGO .- The city of Santo Domingo, with over two million inhabitants, this Monday morning with an unusual police patrol began to work everyday after the long holiday of Easter.
National Police patrol in motor vehicles, motorcycles and on foot cross streets and avenues of the Dominican capital. Yesterday Sunday, members of the national police and the military barracks were armed by the disposal of the high command.
The unusual police patrol appeared to be due to the announcements of protests by groups of people.
We also caution disorder after Easter, taking as a parameter of the population in April 1984 after the Easter and that caused more than 200 dead and thousands injured.
Couple of weeks since 1985 has become a habit in the Dominican armed forces quarter to its members to be alert to any unexpected social capital and the Dominican dawns patrolled by members of the Policia Nacional.
