Gov. Sanford having affair with Maria a woman from Argentina (Exclusive: E-mails between them)
South Caroline Governor Mark Sanford told on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 that he had went to Argentina to visit a woman with whom he had an affair. He express regret and told his wife and four sons that he will resign as head of the Republican Governors Association.
The 49 year old Sanford told at the news conference that he has been unfaithful to his wife Jenny Sanford by having an affair with his Argentina mistress. Sanford told that he had emails contact with his girlfriend who is known as Maria. He told to reporters that he spent last five days of his life in Argentina but now the affair is over. Sanford is a supposed 2012 presidential candidate and he refused to say whether he will leave the office or not.
The state newspaper obtained emails of Governor and Maria in December but they published them know on its website without disclosing Sanford mistress’s full name, address and e-mail address etc. All of them are surprised that why the emails of Stanford are opened by the state newspaper after he accepted his affairs with Maria. The details of all the emails are as follows:
1. Mark Sanford sent this email to Maria on July 4th, 2008 on Friday. Sanford told in this email about good qualities of Maria and he asked that if she had read the two emails he had sent before and asked about her last week. He also asked her to give her mailing address as he wanted to send something for her.
2. Maria replied this email to Sanford on July 4th, 2008. She is reading his last two emails while sitting in Ilhabela, a beautiful island near Sao Paulo. She is thinking of him while seeing beautiful blue sea and she remembers their past days that they spend together and enjoyed very much. She expresses her feelings of Sanford in this email.
3. Mark Sanford sent this email to Maria on July 8th, 2008. He told her about his daily routine of the past days that where he had gone, what he did those days, etc. He told that he was going to sleep so he will tell his thoughts in the next email and shared his lovely feelings with her.
4. Maria replied this email to Sanford on July 9th, 2008. She told about all her routine work of eating food, sleep, etc and she also told that she likes to be alone. She also told that it was difficult for her to believe that how she loved Sanford not because of distance between them but due to the situation they are facing.
5. Mark Sanford sent this email to Maria on July 10th, 2008. He told Maria that he had three thoughts to tell her. First thing was about his travel schedule that he was too busy and it will be difficult for him to get her notes for coming few weeks. Second thing was about the mutual feelings of both and third was about the planning that at which place both will go and enjoy. This was very long email of Sanford in which he had written many details.
6. Maria replied this email to Sanford on July 10th, 2008. She told that she thinks with her head but feels with the heart. She told about her past life that she had a friend but she did not love her as she loves only Sanford. She revealed many other thoughts in this email.
