The counting started at 8 AM this morning for all the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. Counting is held at 4260 counting halls in 1080 centers all over the country. More than 60,000 officials are conducting the counting process. India is currently holding general elections the largest democratic election in the world to the 15th Lok Sabha in five phases on April 16, April 22, April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 13, 2009. For the first time Election Commission has made special arrangements to send the data of results after each round of counting to all media centers as well as to its newly launched website - http://eciresults.nic.in/. Polling were conduct for 543 Lok Sabha seats across India, 294 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, 147 Assembly seats in Orissa and 32 Assembly seats in Sikkim. The congress led UPA is all set to form the next government at the Centre, even without the Left support. Congress is marching ahead in most states, while the BJP has suffered huge losses everywhere. Out of 504 seats, Out of 504 seats, where trends are available, Congress-led UPA is leading in 225 seats, while BJP-led UPA is leading in just 146 seats. The Third Front is leading in 82 seats. I think Congress will become a winner but i am sure in Gujarat BJP will become a winner. BJP is doing well in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal.
