California Special Election 2009 Results
California held a special election on May 19 to vote on six budget propositions to prevent the budget deficit from exceeding $21 billion. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 pm.
The state special election asked voters to decide on five propositions meant at costing up California's finances and one proposition to freeze state salaries during years with deficits.
