Ministry of Finance announced 5% raise in DA for central govt employees

The central government on Thursday declared a five percent raise for the central government employees in the DA & pensioners, with result from July 2009, involving an outgo of around 2904 crore Rs this financial year.............
Declaring the conclusion taken by ministry of finance that the joint impact on the exchequer on explanation of raise in dearness allowance for central govt employees & release would be of the arrangement of 4,355.35 crore Rs for 2009.........
The effect for the present fiscal would be 2903.55 crore Rs , as the raise would be useful for 9 months only from July-March.....
