ISRO ready to launch Oceansat-2 satellite

Preparations are going for the launch of Oceansat-2 satellite, from Sriharikota spaceport from where the 970-KG spacecraft would set-off by the home-grown Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. It would be launched as an in-orbit replacement to Oceansat-1.
AFTER TEN years of Oceansat – 1 satellite, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is ready to launch Oceansat-2 satellite on September 23. Influenced from the European flavour, the mission would help to identify potential fishing zones and in coastal zone studies.
