A Woman in Chicago gives birth after Marathon

Have you ever imagined that a woman can run during last stage of pregnancy? 27-year-old, Amber Miller nearly 39 weeks pregnant finished the Chicago Marathon in 6 1/2 hours and gave birth to baby daughter afterwards. After crossing the finish line, Amber felt labor pain on or about 3 p.m. and delivered healthy daughter weighing 3.34 kilograms after few hours at 10:29 p.m.

Miller took a part in the Marathon after getting the OK from her doctor. From her hospital bed, a veteran marathon runner gave statement to the daily Herald in a telephone interview that her doctor permitted her to follow the race with half walking and half running. She finished her Marathon safely due to the regular practice of running. Before giving a birth, she had sandwich in launch.

The Sunday Chicago marathon was not her first pregnant Marathon, because she already finished the Wisconsin Marathon in 4 hours, 23 minutes when she was 4 months pregnant with daughter (June) and earlier ran Indianapolis Marathon when she was 4.2 months pregnant with son Caleb. Amber miller has been running for over 12 years and Sunday’s marathon was the eighth for her.
