Violent Crime Down In Daly City, According To FBI

The number of violent crimes in San Mateo County's biggest city were down last year, reflecting a nationwide trend of falling crime, according to preliminary figures released Monday by the FBI.

Uniform Crime Report statistics show that rape and robbery declined in Daly City, compared with last year, while the murder fine, with one reported in 2009 and 2008. But the city sent a roughly 4 percent increase in abuse.
Figures for the second San Mateo County cities were not available because the preliminary report shows only individual city statistics for cities with 100,000 or more residents. Final figures will be published this autumn.

In Daly, City were property crimes like car theft down over 2008, but burglaries increased by around 14 percent. Arson dropped again, as it has in the past three years.
