Ted Koppel's Son Andrew Koppel Died

Andrew Koppel was found dead in his New York City apartment on May 31, 2010. He is a son of Former ABC Anchor Ted Koppel. The 40-year-old Andrew Koppel was found dead at around 1:30 AM Monday in the Washington Heights apartment, Detective John Sweeney said. The cause of the death is a day-long drinking binge.

Belinda Caban, a resident of the Upper Manhattan apartment where Koppel died, said, "He was just really messed up when he came in. He was very drunk. I didn't understand anything....
