Serena Williams Fined

For showing unsportsmanlike behaviour and acting unprofessionally during her Saturday match with Kim Clijsters, Serena Williams is fined with a total amount of $10,500. For breaking her racket during the game, she is fined $500; for her tirade and her bad-mouthing of the line judge she is fined $10,000. As of now another investigation is going on to determine whether more punishment should be put On Williams. The U.S. Open said in a statement that the Grand Slam Committee Administrator will "determine if the behavior of Ms. Williams warrants consideration as a major offense for which additional penalties can be imposed."
