Mona Lisa also identified as La Gioconda or La Joconde, is the world famous painting painted in oil on poplar panel by Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci in 16th century. Her facial expression is normally portrayed as mysterious and she has taunted art historians out of thought for centuries. Currently, Art experts found the secret code into the eyes of the Mona Lisa. The mysterious hidden message (some tiny letters and numbers) has been found by the experts from Italy’s National Cultural Heritage committee during the studying exaggerated images of the 500-year-old portrait. Photos by flickr, Joaquín Martínez Rosado The secret code is not visible to the naked eye, but you can see it with magnifying glass. The letters are painted in black on green-brown. The letters LV appears in the right eye which may stand for Leonardo da Vinci, while the code of the right eyes is not as described. The left eye letters are very hard to make them out visibly but they shows like the letters CE or they may be the letter B. Another number 72 or it may be the letter L and number 2 can be seen into a bridge in the background of the painting. The Committee also discovered the 149 number on the backside of the painting that specifies the 500-year-old painting is painted in the 1490s during Vinci live in Duke Ludovico Sforza's Milanese court. According to the Committee President Silvano Vinceti, “It is remarkable that no-one has noticed these symbols before and from the preliminary investigations we have carried out we are confident they are not a mistake and were put there by the artist”. He also added, “Da Vinci put special emphasis on Mona Lisa and in the last years of his life he took the painting with him everywhere. We also know he was esoteric and used symbols to give out messages. Who knows, they may even possibly be a love message to the figure in the painting.” |
