Sarah Slocum crowned Miss Arkansas

Miss Arkansas 2009 winners announced. 23-years-old Sarah Slocum became the new Miss Arkansas on Saturday night. (She competed as Miss Ouachita River.) She won a $20,000 scholarship. Here are two Miss Arkansas 2009 videos.

The beauty pageant contest was held on Saturday evening, July 18, at Summit Arena in Hot Springs in front of a strong gathering of almost 2,000 people. The newly crowned Slocum is going to represent Arkansas in the 2010 Miss America pageant that is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas next year.
