An Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza was engaged to former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik are going to tie the knot in April 2010, Sania's father Imran Mirza confirmed to media. On March 29, 2010, Pakistani media GEO News reported that Sania Mirza will wed Shoaib Malik in April, 2010.

Sania had earlier expressed her interest in Bollywood and was even linked to actor Shahid Kapoor. But destiny has something different in store for her. The news has it that she fell in love with the Pakistani all-rounder about six months ago and now they are all set to tie the knot. It is speculated that the reception would be held in Lahore on April 16 or 17 but the wedding date is not known.
