Pratibha Patil visits Forbidden City

Indian President Pratibha Patil has tried to calm the recent trade disputes and tensions between meetings of the Thursday, the Chinese leaders in Beijing.

Patil is the first Indian head of state to visit the decade of its giant neighbor, an example of how relationships are fresh for nearly 50 years, both countries have conducted a brief border war.

Meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao will visit, Patil said: "mutual understanding and friendship and promote the development of China-India strategic partnership between the state television CCTV reported.

Hu said the two sides of industry should take advantage of both bilateral and multilateral fora to enhance cooperation and coordination, indicating a common cause can be found in negotiations last year, climate change in Copenhagen where they united to oppose the push by developed countries to achieve a new legally binding agreement.
