Rev. Timothy Wright is dead. Wright, a hit Gospel singer injured in a car crash, was the vicar of tabernacle Grace Christian Center Church of God in Christ. The car accident claimed the life of his wife, Betty, 58, and their 14-year-old grandson, D.J Wright, died later in hospital. Rev Wright was the pastor of Grace tabernacle Christian Center Church of God in Christ in Brooklyn, New York.

Wright Saturday more than a dozen gospel hit album. His current album is "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." A 1994 record, Come You Almighty King, was a Billboard Top 20 gospel hit. Driving back from the AIM Convention in Detroit MI, Reverend Timothy Wright was in a terrible accident late last night.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
