Natalie Cole Kidney Transplant Surgery

Natalie Cole’s kidney transplant would be successful on 20th may 2009 (Wednesday) and now she is resting comfortably. The kidney came from a deceased organ donor through the regional organ procurement agency, One Legacy.

She is the 59 years old and In 2008, Natalie Cole’s revealed that she had been diagnosed with hepatitis C, a disease she likely contracted during her time as an IV drug user more than 30 years ago.

 

Natalie Cole has been receiving kidney dialysis three times a week since September. She still continued to perform. She announced her hepatitis diagnosis last year and said that the disease was likely caused by her drug use years ago. The kidney came from a deceased organ donor through the regional organ procurement agency.

 

The kidney dialysis is unrelated to Natalie Cole's struggle with hepatitis C, a liver disease spread through contact with infected blood. Cole received painful chemotherapy to treat the hepatitis and "within four months".
