Nakeeran was established by Nakkheeran Gopal who is also the editor of the magazine. A man with many talents, Nakkeeran Gopal was born on 10th April 1959 to Mr. S. Ramanathan and Rajamanickammal. His father was a lower grade employee in the Highways department. Mr.Sivaji Ganesan, who started his own party at that time, wrote in Nakkheeran titled as “Neenkal Athanaiperum Uthamanthana sollungal”. In the present year Nakkheeran distribution went upto 1, 33,000 issues.
