A year of 2011 is being most controversial in health point of view. If you go only through headlines, your head gets spun from scientists flip-flopping on the dangers of cell phones and salt to killer vitamins. Today’s work culture demands 24 hours work; that’s why diet is the worst effected, which leads to many diseases. Not only diet, there are number of reasons such as excess use of cell phone, processed food, salt, killer vitamins etc. by which human body gets affected. In October, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force became very debatable when it suggested that the prostate specific antigen (PSA) test for prostate cancer is no longer used and given a "D" rating. The other study of U.S. Preventive Services Task Force in 2009, was that women do not need mammograms until age 50, but the researchers have declared mammograms and breast self-exams both are certainly useful for identifying breast cancer. Have you ever noticed the effects of multivitamins and other dietary supplements? It was found in October study that the excess use of multivitamins like iron, Vitamin B, folic acid, and zinc; increases risk of dying earlier. Same way, the high and low use of salt leads to early death as too much sodium increases blood pressure and same way less potassium raises other heart problems. |
