McDonald's recalls 12 million Shrek glasses

Today, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission voluntarily recalled more than 12 million specialty Shrek the Third glasses being sold at McDonald’s location nationwide. It was discovered that the paint on the glasses contains cadmium, which is toxic. The CPSC warns that “long-term exposure to cadmium can cause adverse health effects.”
