Peter, Paul and Mary Folk Group Singer Mary Travers died with leukemia on September 16, 2009 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut, from complications arising from chemotherapy. She was 72 years old most successful folk-singing group singer of the in the early 1960s. In 2005, Travers was diagnosed with leukemia after three years she was dead for leukemia cancer.

Mary Travers was the member of Peter, Paul and Mary. Peter Yarrow and Noel “Paul” Stookey were the other group members. She was born in November 9, 1936, Louisville, Kentucky, United States.
