Maha Shivaratri 2010

Maha Shivaratri means the Night of Shiva. One of the most holy nights in Vedic traditions is Maha Shivaratri, The Great Night of Shiva. Maha Shivaratri occurs only once a year. On this day Siva descends onto the earth plane to give powerful blessings to the devotees.
Lord Shiva is the representation of primordial energy from which everything was born and to which everything in the universe will disintegrate into. This is the night where Lord Shiva is said to have revealed the dance (Tandava) of primeval conception, preservation and destruction.
