Aflatoxin is a toxic chemical which is naturally produced as a by-product from the fungus which appears on corn and other crops, named Aspergillus flavus. When this toxic by-product is consumed by pets, they become very ill and exhibit the symptoms of lethargy, lack of the desire to eat and sluggishness. Severe blood or diarrhea and yellowish tint to eyes or gums are other warning symptoms of sickness related with aflatoxin.
