Jay Leno Released from Hospital

After missing his first day of work in his 17 years as  host of The Tonight Show due to an illness, Jay Leno has been released from the hospital. The comedian checked himself in on Thursday after experiencing sickness. His spokesperson said doctors released him on Friday after finding the sickness was not "symptomatic of anything serious."

He's anxious to return work on Monday. It is the first time the 58 year old has missed a scheduled Show Programme since he back host in 1992. Both the Thursday and Friday night programmes were replaced with re- runs and celebrity guests were stood down.

Tonight Show host Jay Leno is finally back at home after spending the night at providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank for an unknown illness. According to Leno's rep, he was admitted for "suspicious reasons," but is feeling much better and is expected back at work in no time. Leno, who is known for attracting top Hollywood names to appear as guests on the programme, is due to step down as host in May this year. Conan O'Brien who is the host of the programme which follows the Tonight show, Will be Leno's replacement.
